When lower people on the hierarchy build an economy for those on top, the people who contribute often do not make what they are worth to society.
We see this with people who use SNAP benefits, who hold up our country but aren't supported or compensated appropriately.
SNAP benefits are for low-income households that meet certain criteria, including income, assets, household size, and residency. The largest groups of recipients are children, adults aged 60 or older, and people with disabilities. People who are unemployed, working for low wages, or receiving public assistance may also qualify.
Republicans who are supporting the authoritarian regime of Donald Trump and the very wealthy obviously have little concern for those in lower groups holding up the hierarchy. Let them eat cake.
